The [POW-20 protocol](/pow-20-protocol.md) is an open and public protocol that can be implemented on any layer-1 proof-of-work blockchain that supports ordinals. Simply put, <https://pow20.io> is an application and interface that makes interacting with the POW-20 protocol simple and uniquely fun. It enables POW-20 token deployments and mining through an easy to use "hacker-style" mock terminal design that anyone can use and understand without being a developer or having ever learned about ordinals or inscriptions.\

While we developed the [application](https://pow20.io), it is expected that other interfaces and implementations for interacting with the POW-20 protocol will be plentiful. We hope you enjoy our take though 😉
